Product Description
Sprocket 10B-2 z=38 for Taper-Lock bush 2517, C45 steel fits 10B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"). It has 38 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2517 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 108 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 45 mm. The bush is not included - the 2517 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It works in chain transmissions of industrial machinery where easy sprocket replacement is important. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
10B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 50 chain?
No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Can a new chain be fitted on a worn sprocket?
This should not be done. A worn sprocket has a changed tooth profile, so a new chain runs unevenly and elongates quickly. The rule is: new chain - new sprockets.
When are multi-strand sprockets used?
Double- and triple-strand sprockets work with multi-strand chains in heavily loaded drives where there is no room for a chain with a larger pitch. Several strands share the load evenly, which reduces wear and the risk of chain breakage.
When is a sprocket for a Taper-Lock bush the right choice?
Wherever quick mounting and replacement matter. The clamping bush eliminates boring the hole and cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a bush with a bore that matches the shaft, seat it in the sprocket and tighten the screws.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
