Product Description
Sprocket 10B-1 z=16 with hub, stainless acid-resistant (316) - sprocket for a 10B-1 roller chain (DIN 8187 / ISO 606 standard), pitch 15.875 mm (5/8"). This toothed wheel is made of acid-resistant stainless steel 316 (inox).
The sprocket with a hub has a pilot bore of 14 mm, which can be bored out to the shaft size in H7 tolerance. The keyway is cut on a slotting machine to DIN 6885.
This toothed wheel made of inox suits machines working in humid or aggressive environments: food processing, beverages, chemicals, industrial washers.

FAQ
Is this inox sprocket suitable for the food industry?
Yes, this toothed wheel is made of acid-resistant stainless steel 316 (inox), resistant to water and aggressive cleaning agents, which is a hygiene requirement in the food and chemical industries.
What is the hole for a set screw in the hub for?
The threaded hole (often above the keyway or at 90 degrees) takes a grub screw. It prevents the sprocket from shifting along the shaft during machine vibrations.
When should you choose a sprocket with a hub and when a plate wheel?
Plate wheels are most often used where they are mounted to an existing flange or drum, or when there is very little space on the shaft. Sprockets with a hub are chosen when the wheel must transmit high torque directly from the shaft through a key - the hub gives a longer contact surface.
How to align sprockets correctly during installation?
The driving and the driven sprocket must lie in one line. For alignment use a long steel ruler laid against both sprockets or an alignment laser. Even a small angular deviation quickly destroys the chain.
