Frequently asked questions

Which chain does the 10B-1 z=15 sprocket with bearing fit?

10B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.

How do I mount a sprocket with bearing?

The sprocket is placed on a pin or bolt with a diameter of 12 mm that passes through the bearing bore, and is fixed to the machine frame or tensioner arm. The inner ring of the bearing is clamped, while the sprocket rotates freely with the chain. The sprocket must be exactly in line with the chain.

Does the bearing need lubrication?

No. The ball bearing is shielded on both sides and maintenance-free - it does not need lubrication throughout its service life. It is enough to check periodically that the sprocket turns easily and without play.

What is the difference between a sprocket with bearing and a standard sprocket?

A standard sprocket is mounted on a shaft and transmits drive. A sprocket with bearing rotates freely on a stationary pin, so it does not transmit torque - it is used to tension, support and redirect the chain.

Does it fit ASA 50 chain?

No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.

What does the lead time depend on?

When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
