Sprocket 08B-3 (pitch 1/2" - 12.7 mm), triplex (three-strand), 31 teeth, with hub. As a European manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies the sprocket in C45E steel (EN 10083-1), in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 - a version without tooth hardening, cheaper than the hardened variant and sufficient for many typical industrial applications.

Can a sprocket be welded directly to the drive shaft?

Technically this is possible, but we strongly advise against such a solution. Welding overheats the material, damages nearby bearings, bends the shaft and prevents the worn sprocket from being easily replaced later. Always use mounting with a key or a clamping bush.
