Product Description
Sprocket 08B-2 z=76 for Taper-Lock bush 2012, cast iron works with 08B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 12.7 mm (1/2"). It has 76 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2012 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2012 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 111 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 32 mm. The bush is not included - the 2012 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It is found in agricultural machinery, workshop equipment and gate drives. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
08B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 12.7 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 40 chain?
No. ASA 40 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (7.94 mm instead of 8.51 mm) and a different inner width (7.94 mm instead of 7.75 mm). The 08B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 08B-2 z=76 for Taper-Lock bush 2012.
Does the bush connection need to be checked during operation?
Yes. After the first period of operation, and later during inspections, it is worth checking that the bush screws are tight. In drives operating at higher temperatures, a check after the first warm-up is especially important.
Can a Taper-Lock bush be reused?
Yes, if it has not been mechanically damaged. Easy dismounting and remounting is one of the main advantages of this system.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
