Product Description
Sprocket 08B-2 z=114 for Taper-Lock bush 2517, cast iron fits 08B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 12.7 mm (1/2"). It has 114 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2517 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 124 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 45 mm. The bush is not included - the 2517 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It works well in drives of conveyors, packaging machines and production lines where the sprocket has to be replaced quickly. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
08B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 12.7 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 40 chain?
No. ASA 40 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (7.94 mm instead of 8.51 mm) and a different inner width (7.94 mm instead of 7.75 mm). The 08B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 08B-2 z=114 for Taper-Lock bush 2517.
How do I remove a sprocket with a Taper-Lock bush?
Remove the mounting screws and screw one of them into the free dismounting hole. The screw then acts as a puller and pushes the bush out of the sprocket seat.
Can a Taper-Lock bush be used on a shaft without a keyway?
The bush holds on the shaft by friction, but in drives transmitting high torque a key is an essential safeguard. Bushes with larger bores have a standard keyway to DIN 6885.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
