Product Description
Sprocket 08B-1 z=45 for Taper-Lock bush 2012, cast iron works with 08B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 12.7 mm (1/2"). It has 45 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2012 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2012 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 100 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 32 mm. The bush is not included - the 2012 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It works well in drives of conveyors, packaging machines and production lines where the sprocket has to be replaced quickly. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
08B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 12.7 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 40 chain?
No. ASA 40 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (7.94 mm instead of 8.51 mm) and a different inner width (7.94 mm instead of 7.75 mm). The 08B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 08B-1 z=45 for Taper-Lock bush 2012.
How does the number of teeth affect the drive ratio?
The ratio is the number of teeth of the driven wheel divided by the number of teeth of the driving wheel. If this sprocket drives a wheel with twice as many teeth, the driven shaft turns twice as slowly but with roughly twice the torque.
How should sprockets be aligned during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must lie in one plane. Alignment can be checked with a long steel straightedge placed against the sides of both wheels or with a laser alignment tool. Even a small misalignment wears the sides of the teeth and speeds up chain wear.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
