Sprocket 08B-1 z=28 for Taper-Lock bush 2012 works with 08B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 12.7 mm (1/2"). It has 28 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2012 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2012 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 90 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 32 mm. The bush is not included - the 2012 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Which chain does this sprocket fit?
08B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 12.7 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 40 chain?
No. ASA 40 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (7.94 mm instead of 8.51 mm) and a different inner width (7.94 mm instead of 7.75 mm). The 08B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?

When does a sprocket need replacing?
When the teeth start to look like pointed shark fins or are clearly bent to one side. Running on such a profile quickly destroys even a new chain, so a worn sprocket must be replaced. Thanks to the Taper-Lock bush, replacement is quick.
Can a new chain be fitted on a worn sprocket?
This should not be done. A worn sprocket has a changed tooth profile, so a new chain runs unevenly and elongates quickly. The rule is: new chain - new sprockets.
