Product Description
Sprocket 06B-3 z=57, with hub
Sprocket 06B-3 with hub, 57 teeth, triplex (three-strand) - a product matched to chain with a pitch of 9.53 mm (3/8"). The sprocket complies with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 and is made of C45E steel (EN 10083-1); the teeth are not hardened, which lowers the cost of the sprocket and makes it easier to machine (e.g. deep boring of the hub) throughout the entire volume of the material.

Frequently asked questions
How does material quality prevent the teeth from "shearing" during sudden machine jerks?
Soft, uncertified sheet metal deforms under a sudden jerk - the teeth bend over. Steel from a certified melt, correctly heat-treated, has a high yield strength and withstands a torque surge without permanent deformation.
What should be considered when selecting a sprocket for low-temperature operation?
At low temperatures, carbon steel becomes more susceptible to brittle fracture under impact, so in cold stores and freezers it is worth considering a variant with increased impact strength or consulting the supplier on the choice of material. Equally important is the choice of a lubricant that will not thicken or lose its lubricating properties at low temperature.
What forces act on the key in a sprocket and how can it be prevented from shearing?
The key transmits the entire shearing torque between the shaft and the sprocket. Make sure it is made of suitable quenched and tempered steel, has an accurate fit in the keyway and that the machine is not subjected to extreme jerks without an overload clutch.
How does uneven tooth wear affect machine vibration?
Worn teeth cause the so-called polygon effect - the chain drops off and climbs onto the teeth abruptly, which transmits vibrations to the shafts, destroys the bearings and leads to cracking of welds in the machine.
Where is this product used?
06B-3 sprockets operate in drives of construction machinery, goods lifts, aggregate conveyors and woodworking machines - wherever tooth durability under load matters.
