Product Description
Sprocket 06B-2 z=23 for Taper-Lock bush 1210, C45 steel is designed for 06B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 9.525 mm (3/8"). It has 23 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 1210 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 1210 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 59 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 25 mm. The bush is not included - the 1210 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It works in light chain transmissions where quick mounting and dismounting matter. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
06B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 9.525 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 35 chain?
No. ASA 35 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (5.08 mm instead of 6.35 mm) and a different inner width (4.77 mm instead of 5.72 mm). The 06B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Can the bush taper be greased before mounting?
No. The bush works by friction, and grease on the tapered surfaces can cause the bush to be drawn in too deep and crack the sprocket hub. The tapered surfaces must be degreased before mounting.
How do I remove a sprocket with a Taper-Lock bush?
Remove the mounting screws and screw one of them into the free dismounting hole. The screw then acts as a puller and pushes the bush out of the sprocket seat.
Can a Taper-Lock bush be used on a shaft without a keyway?
The bush holds on the shaft by friction, but in drives transmitting high torque a key is an essential safeguard. Bushes with larger bores have a standard keyway to DIN 6885.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
