Product Description
Sprocket 06A-1 (35-1) z=48 plate wheel fits ASA 35 (06A-1 / 06C-1) roller chain, single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 9.525 mm (3/8"). It is a plate wheel without a hub, has 48 teeth and is made of C45 steel in accordance with ISO 606 and ANSI B29.1.
The plate wheel has a pilot bore of Ø16 mm. It can be bolted or welded to your own hub, flange or drum, which makes it a good choice for larger ratios and non-standard designs.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
ASA 35-1 (06A-1) roller chain with a pitch of 9.525 mm. The same chain is also designated 06C-1. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit 06B chain?
No. 06B chain (European standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (6.35 mm instead of 5.08 mm) and a different inner width (5.72 mm instead of 4.77 mm). The ASA 35 sprocket is designed for American-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
When should I choose a plate wheel and when a sprocket with hub?
A plate wheel is chosen when the wheel is fixed to an existing flange, drum or your own hub, or when there is little space on the shaft. A sprocket with hub works better where torque is transmitted directly from the shaft via a key.
How does the number of teeth affect the drive ratio?
The ratio is the number of teeth of the driven wheel divided by the number of teeth of the driving wheel. If this sprocket drives a wheel with twice as many teeth, the driven shaft turns twice as slowly but with roughly twice the torque.
How should sprockets be aligned during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must lie in one plane. Alignment can be checked with a long steel straightedge placed against the sides of both wheels or with a laser alignment tool. Even a small misalignment wears the sides of the teeth and speeds up chain wear.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
