The resistance of the cover is provided by NBR rubber (acrylonitrile butadiene rubber) - it offers good resistance to oils, greases, fuels and common organic solvents while retaining high elasticity, as well as operation in a temperature range from -20°C to +100°C. The chain itself is made of steel in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606, which retains the full strength typical of the 16B-2 series.
