Product Description

Timing belt pulley PolyChain GT PC 8M 62 z=192 for Taper-Lock bush 3525 - for HTD 8M / PolyChain GT belts with a pitch of 8 mm (HTD). Made of C45 steel with a profile optimised for Gates PolyChain GT polyurethane belts.

The Taper-Lock system eliminates the need to bore out the hub. The bush slides into the tapered seat of the pulley and, after the screws are tightened to a torque of approx. 80 Nm, it clamps onto the shaft without a press or special tools. Removal is just as simple - one screw inserted into the removal hole pushes the bush out without risk of damaging the shaft.

If the bottom of the groove is shiny, the belt has bottomed out and no longer wedges against the flanks - the pulley needs replacing. Profile gauges are used for checking.
