Product Description
Timing belt pulley H 200 z=120 for Taper-Lock bush 2517 cast iron - for H belts with a pitch of 1/2" (12.7 mm). Made of grey cast iron with a pearlitic structure.
The Taper-Lock system eliminates the need to bore out the hub. The bush slides into the tapered seat of the pulley and, after the screws are tightened to a torque of approx. 50 Nm, it clamps onto the shaft without a press or special tools. Removal is just as simple - one screw inserted into the removal hole pushes the bush out without risk of damaging the shaft.
Used in machines requiring accurate motion transmission: heavy industrial drives, agricultural machinery, machine tools, presses.

FAQ
What shaft tolerance do you recommend?
The recommended shaft tolerance is h9 or h11. The shaft should be smooth and clean - rust or burrs will hinder proper clamping and may cause the pulley to slip under load.
How do you choose a pulley for a toothed belt?
The key is matching the series (H = pitch 1/2" (12.7 mm)) and the belt width (200 mm). The drive ratio is calculated by dividing the number of teeth of the driven pulley by the number of teeth of the driving pulley.
How can you recognise a worn pulley groove?
If the bottom of the groove is shiny, the belt has bottomed out and no longer wedges against the flanks - the pulley needs replacing. Profile gauges are used for checking.
How does excessive belt tension affect the bearings?
Excessive radial force puts high loads on the bearings, leading to overheating and premature failure. The correct tension is specified by the belt manufacturer.
