Product Description
Timing belt pulley 5M 09 z=12 steel - for HTD 5M belts with a pitch of 5 mm (HTD). Made of C45 steel.
The pilot bore allows the pulley to be bored precisely to the shaft size and the fit required by the machine, to H7 tolerance. The keyway is cut on a slotting machine according to DIN 6885.
Designed for synchronous drives in: industrial machinery, automation, packaging equipment.

FAQ
How do you choose a pulley for a toothed belt?
The key is matching the series (5M = 5 mm pitch (HTD)) and the belt width (9 mm). The drive ratio is calculated by dividing the number of teeth of the driven pulley by the number of teeth of the driving pulley.
How can you recognise a worn pulley groove?
If the bottom of the groove is shiny, the belt has bottomed out and no longer wedges against the flanks - the pulley needs replacing. Profile gauges are used for checking.
How does excessive belt tension affect the bearings?
Excessive radial force puts high loads on the bearings, leading to overheating and premature failure. The correct tension is specified by the belt manufacturer.
Do you ship pulleys from stock?
The stock level is shown above the price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
