Product Description
Timing belt pulley 36 AT5 z=19 aluminium - for AT5 belts with a pitch of 5 mm (AT). Made of hard-anodised aluminium 6082 T6.
The pilot bore allows the pulley to be bored precisely to the shaft size and the fit required by the machine, to H7 tolerance. The keyway is cut on a slotting machine according to DIN 6885.
Designed for synchronous drives in: automation, CNC, 3D printing, precision devices.
When ordering, please check the lead time - it is shown directly next to the product's stock level.

FAQ
What materials do you use for pulleys?
Aluminium has almost three times lower density than steel - the pulley is lighter and has a lower moment of inertia, which means faster acceleration and braking of the drive.
Does shaft runout damage pulleys?
Yes - shaft runout causes cyclic jerking of the belt, which leads to cracking of the pulley hub and accelerated belt wear. Before mounting the pulley, it is worth checking the shaft runout with a dial indicator.
What is a pilot bore and how is it rebored?
A pilot bore is a technological bore smaller than the target shaft diameter - a turner rebores it precisely to the specific shaft, to H7 tolerance. The keyway is cut on a slotting machine according to DIN 6885.
How do you align pulleys correctly?
The grooves of both pulleys must lie in one plane. Check this with a straightedge or a laser alignment tool. Even a slight lateral misalignment causes rapid wear of the belt's side edges.
