Product Description

Timing belt pulley 14M 170 z=168 for Taper-Lock bush 5050 Cast iron - for HTD 14M belts with a pitch of 14 mm (HTD). Made of grey cast iron with a pearlitic structure.

The Taper-Lock system eliminates the need to bore out the hub. The bush slides into the tapered seat of the pulley and, after the screws are tightened to a torque of approx. 136 Nm, it clamps onto the shaft without a press or special tools. Removal is just as simple - one screw inserted into the removal hole pushes the bush out without risk of damaging the shaft.

Used in machines requiring accurate motion transmission: heavy industrial drives, presses, agricultural and construction machinery.

When ordering, please check the lead time - it is shown directly next to the product's stock level.

FAQ

Do you ship pulleys from stock?

The stock level is shown above the price and may vary depending on the warehouse.

What materials do you use for pulleys?

Cast iron dampens vibrations excellently, is resistant to abrasion and dissipates the heat generated by belt friction very well - ideal where quiet and stable drive operation matters.

Does shaft runout damage pulleys?

Yes - shaft runout causes cyclic jerking of the belt, which leads to cracking of the pulley hub and accelerated belt wear. Before mounting the pulley, it is worth checking the shaft runout with a dial indicator.

How do I mount the pulley on a Taper-Lock bush?

The bush is inserted into the tapered seat of the pulley, placed on the shaft and the screws are tightened to a torque of approx. 136 Nm. The pulley is ready in a few minutes, without a press or special tools.
