Product Description
Timing belt pulley 14M 170 z=168 Cast iron - for HTD 14M belts with a pitch of 14 mm (HTD). Made of grey cast iron with a pearlitic structure.
The pilot bore allows the pulley to be bored precisely to the shaft size and the fit required by the machine, to H7 tolerance. The keyway is cut on a slotting machine according to DIN 6885.
The pulley performs well wherever precise motion synchronisation is required: heavy industrial drives, presses, agricultural and construction machinery.
When ordering, please check the lead time - it is shown directly next to the product's stock level.

FAQ
Do you ship pulleys from stock?
The stock level is shown above the price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
What materials do you use for pulleys?
Cast iron dampens vibrations excellently, is resistant to abrasion and dissipates the heat generated by belt friction very well - ideal where quiet and stable drive operation matters.
Does shaft runout damage pulleys?
Yes - shaft runout causes cyclic jerking of the belt, which leads to cracking of the pulley hub and accelerated belt wear. Before mounting the pulley, it is worth checking the shaft runout with a dial indicator.
What is a pilot bore and how is it rebored?
A pilot bore is a technological bore smaller than the target shaft diameter - a turner rebores it precisely to the specific shaft, to H7 tolerance. The keyway is cut on a slotting machine according to DIN 6885.
