Product Description
Taper-Lock bush 1108, bore 1 1/8" (28.57 mm) with keyway is used for quick mounting of pulleys, sprockets and couplings with a Taper-Lock 1108 taper seat on a 1 1/8" (28.57 mm) shaft.
The bush has a finished bore with keyway, threaded holes and fixing screws, so the wheel hub does not need to be bored. When the screws are tightened, the taper of the bush clamps onto the shaft and into the wheel hub at the same time; removal is done using the removal holes.

Frequently asked questions
Which wheels does the Taper-Lock 1108 bush fit?
Sprockets, pulleys and couplings with a Taper-Lock 1108 seat. The bush size must be the same as the seat designation in the wheel; the bush bore is chosen to match the shaft diameter, here 1 1/8" (28.57 mm).
What does the designation 1108 mean?
The first two digits give the outside diameter of the bush in tenths of an inch (11 = 1.1"), and the last two its length in tenths of an inch (08 = 0.8").
How do I install a Taper-Lock bush?
Clean and degrease the tapered surfaces, insert the bush into the hub so that the holes line up and fit the screws loosely. Slide the wheel with the bush onto the shaft to the required position, tighten the screws by hand and then gradually and alternately with an Allen key. Check the screws after the drive has run for a short time.
How do I remove the bush?
Loosen all the screws, remove one or two (depending on the number of removal holes) and screw them into the removal holes. Tighten them alternately until the bush is released from the hub and the wheel can be slid off the shaft.
Does the bush have a keyway?
Yes. A bush with an imperial bore has an imperial keyway to B.S. 46; the key is sold separately.
What does the lead time depend on?
