Product Description

Spur gear module 4, z=35, with hub

The spur gear module 4 with z=35 teeth (with hub) is a universal modular component whose parameters match the entire family of gears and gear racks of the same module. The standard material is C45E steel (UNI EN 10083-1), widely used in the construction of gear transmissions, gear racks and module drives.

Frequently asked questions

How do you cut a keyway in a module gear with a small hub?

In gears with a small hub, the keyway is slotted with great care so as not to weaken the wall above the tooth. If there is not enough space, we recommend dispensing with a standard key (feather key) in favour of mounting with clamping bushes (locking assemblies).

Are the gear wheels for sliding gates also module gears?

Yes, the classic gate drive gear is a module gear working with a gear rack fixed to the gate leaf. This is usually module 4 (m=4), and for intensive commercial use precision-machined components are chosen that run quietly and without jamming.

How do you calculate the outside diameter from the number of teeth and the module?

It is very simple maths, often used by maintenance departments. The formula is: Dz = m * (Z + 2). For example, for a gear with module 3 and 20 teeth, the outside diameter will be: 3 * (20 + 2) = 66 mm.

Does a higher number of teeth (z) with the same module mean a stronger gear?

Not directly - tooth strength depends mainly on the module and face width, not on the number of teeth; a larger z with the same module simply gives a larger gear diameter and a higher ratio relative to the mating gear.

Where is this product used?

Module gears of this type are used in speed reducers, machine gearboxes, CNC machine tools and in rack drives of sliding and entrance gates.

When placing your order, please check the current stock level of this gear - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in the given warehouse.
