The spur gear module 3 with z=16 teeth (with hub) is a universal modular component whose parameters match the entire family of gears and gear racks of the same module. The gear is made of C45E steel (EN 10083-1); the involute tooth profile and 20° pressure angle ensure smooth, quiet meshing with gears or racks of the same module.

Can gears with different modules be combined in one gearbox?

Absolutely not. Teeth of different modules differ in size and pitch. Any attempt to mesh them will end in the drive jamming or the teeth breaking off immediately on the first revolution of the shaft.

Can I buy ready-made modules with drilled mounting holes at ozdowski.pl?

As standard, we supply gears and racks with a smaller pilot bore, which gives you complete freedom in adapting them to your design. You can drill the holes yourself, tap them for set screws, or send us the parameters so that our CNC department can carry out the finished modifications.

Do you make module gears to special order?

Yes. In addition to ready-made gears from our warehouse, we can manufacture non-standard CNC gears based on your technical drawing. And if the machine is at a standstill and time matters to you, we will produce it using 3D printing from glass-fibre-reinforced materials.

How can you recognise a manufacturing defect in a gear when receiving the goods?

It is worth checking the radial runout (the gear should not "wobble" on the shaft), the uniformity of the pitch between teeth and the smoothness of the tooth surface - visible burrs, dents or uneven pitch are a signal to file a complaint.
