Questions and answers about the spur gear module 2
How can I find out the module of my old gear?
Count the teeth and measure the outer diameter, i.e. across the tooth tips. The module is the outer diameter divided by the number of teeth plus 2. If the result is not clear, write to us - we will help you choose the right gear.
In what colour is the O3D gear available?
As standard the gear is black. If you are interested in another colour, write to us - we will check and tell you the available variants.
Does a plastic gear run more quietly than a metal one?
Usually yes. Plastic dampens vibrations and tooth impacts, so plastic-plastic and steel-plastic pairs run noticeably more quietly than a steel-steel pair.
What if I cannot find a gear with the parameters I need?
Yes. If there is no gear with the required parameters in our range, we will make it to order - send us the required dimensions.
Can I return the gear if it does not fit?
Yes, you can return a gear from our standard range. Returns do not apply to gears made to special order, i.e. non-standard versions.
