Product Description

Spur gear module 2, z=23, with hub

This module 2 spur gear (23 teeth, with hub) is used wherever reliable, maintenance-free power transmission via involute gearing is required. The gear is made of C45E steel (EN 10083-1); the involute tooth profile and 20° pressure angle ensure smooth, quiet meshing with gears or racks of the same module.

Frequently asked questions

Can a module gear be painted or lacquered?

Yes, the external surfaces (sides, circumference) can be protected with lacquer, but the teeth and the mounting bore should remain clean, because the coating would change their actual dimensions and disrupt meshing with the other gear.

How does the build quality of a Polish/European manufacturer reduce rolling resistance in the gearbox?

Cheap gears from unverified sources often have a rough tooth surface that acts like sandpaper, raising the temperature and the drive resistance. Our gears have a smooth working surface, which helps maintain the lubricating film and minimises energy losses.

Does the tooth shape of a module gear affect smooth running?

Yes, the ideal involute profile achieved through precise machining ensures uniform power transmission. This prevents jerking that could lead to teeth breaking off under load.

How can a module gear be secured against sliding along the shaft?

Besides a key or a clamping bush, set screws (locking screws) in the hub, thrust washers or retaining rings are also used - the choice depends on whether the transmission operates under variable axial load.

Where is this product used?

Module gears of this type are used in speed reducers, machine gearboxes, CNC machine tools and in rack drives of sliding and entrance gates.

When placing your order, please check the current stock level of this gear - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in the given warehouse.
