Product Description
Module gear with hub, module 2,5, 30 teeth - PA12-CF15 plastic, O3D
The O3D spur gear module 2,5, 30 teeth, is a light module gear with hub, 3D printed from PA12 nylon with carbon fibre (PA12-CF15). The outer diameter is 80 mm and the O16 mm pilot bore is prepared for reaming to the shaft size. It works well in transmissions with light and medium loads.

Where can this plastic gear be used?
A light nylon gear with carbon fibre works well wherever low weight, quiet operation and corrosion resistance matter, e.g.:
- power tools
- unmanned aerial vehicles
- control instruments and apparatus
- electronic devices
- reproduction of gears for machines with no spare parts available
- test and laboratory set-ups
- robotics and grippers
Questions and answers about the spur gear module 2,5
Is this gear available without a hub?
Yes. On request we can also make this gear as a plain disc version without a hub - just contact us.
What does the PA12-CF15 symbol mean?
The gear is printed from PA12-CF15, i.e. polyamide 12 reinforced with chopped carbon fibre.
Can I enlarge the bore in the gear myself?
Yes. The maximum bore diameter depends on the size of the gear and its hub. Drill with a sharp drill at low speed and without pressure so as not to heat the plastic, and finish the bore with a reamer.
We do not guarantee the fit after reaming, because a 3D print does not have the tolerances of machining - the dimension may vary by approx. ±0,1-0,2 mm. For an exact fit, check the bore on the shaft. If you need help, contact us or have us make the bore.
Can you print a narrower or wider gear?
Yes. We can adapt the width of the toothed rim and hub to your transmission - write to us with the dimensions you need.
In what position is the gear printed?
We print the gears in a vertical orientation. The print orientation matters both for the quality of the gear and for the strength of the teeth, so we have chosen it with operation in a transmission in mind.
