Product Description
Module gear 30 teeth with hub, module 1 - carbon fibre nylon PA12-CF15, O3D
The O3D spur gear module 1 with 30 teeth is a module gear with hub made of PA12-CF15 plastic - nylon reinforced with carbon fibre, produced by 3D printing. With an outer diameter of 32 mm it weighs approx. 14,8 g, and the O8 mm pilot bore lets you fit it to your shaft. A quieter and lighter replacement for a metal gear in transmissions with moderate loads.

Where can this plastic gear be used?
PA12-CF15 plastic gears are used in transmissions with moderate loads, such as:
- printing and bookbinding equipment
- test and laboratory set-ups
- measuring instruments and apparatus
- mechanics of electronic devices
- industrial cleaning machines
- material handling systems in warehouses
- boat fittings and equipment exposed to moisture
Questions and answers about the spur gear module 1
What does a pitch diameter of 30 mm mean?
The pitch diameter (30 mm) is the diameter on which the teeth of two mating gears roll on each other. It is used to design the centre distance of a transmission - the distance between the axes of two gears equals half the sum of their pitch diameters.
Is a plastic gear lighter than a steel one?
Yes. PA12-CF15 plastic is several times lighter than steel, so the gear weighs considerably less than a steel equivalent of the same dimensions.
To what diameter can the bore be reamed?
Yes. The maximum bore diameter depends on the size of the gear and its hub. Drill with a sharp drill at low speed and without pressure so as not to heat the plastic, and finish the bore with a reamer.
We do not guarantee the fit after reaming, because a 3D print does not have the tolerances of machining - the dimension may vary by approx. ±0,1-0,2 mm. For an exact fit, check the bore on the shaft. If you need help, contact us or have us make the bore.
Can you make a larger series of gears?
Yes. We agree the production time for a series individually - write to us and tell us how many pieces you need.
Can I pay on delivery?
You can pay cash on delivery or online - by card or bank transfer directly when placing your order.
