The O3D spur gear module 1 with 14 teeth is a module gear with hub made of PA12-CF15 plastic - nylon reinforced with carbon fibre, produced by 3D printing. With an outer diameter of 16 mm it weighs approx. 3,3 g, and the O5 mm pilot bore lets you fit it to your shaft. A quieter and lighter replacement for a metal gear in transmissions with moderate loads.

How can I find out the module of my old gear?
Count the teeth and measure the outer diameter, i.e. across the tooth tips. The module is the outer diameter divided by the number of teeth plus 2. If the result is not clear, write to us - we will help you choose the right gear.
How does the material behave under impact loads?
The Charpy impact strength of the material is 73 kJ/m2 for an unnotched specimen and 11 kJ/m2 for a notched specimen. The elongation at break is 5%, which means a stiff material that deforms very little.
Can this gear withstand heavy loads?
The PA12-CF15 gear is designed for transmissions with light and medium loads. In drives transmitting high torque or working with strong shocks, a steel gear is the better choice.
