Product Description
Sprocket 32B-1 z=15, with hub
Sprocket 32B-1, simplex, with 15 teeth and a hub - pitch 2" (50.8 mm). As a European manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies the sprocket in C45E steel (EN 10083-1), in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 - a version without tooth hardening, cheaper than the hardened variant and sufficient for many typical industrial applications.

Frequently asked questions
When ordering several sprockets for one drive, do they have identical production parameters?
Sprockets of the same catalogue item are produced according to the same documentation and tolerances, so their parameters (pitch, number of teeth, dimensions) match each other regardless of when they were ordered. Any slight differences in the shade of the steel between production batches have no effect on how the sprocket works with the chain.
How does uneven tooth wear affect machine vibration?
Worn teeth cause the so-called polygon effect - the chain drops off and climbs onto the teeth abruptly, which transmits vibrations to the shafts, destroys the bearings and leads to cracking of welds in the machine.
How can a sprocket and chain be protected against corrosion during storage?
After cleaning off any dirt, it is advisable to apply a layer of preservative grease or anti-corrosion oil and store the sprocket in a dry place not exposed to condensation. In the steel version (without coating), even a short damp break in the workshop can cause a rusty film on the tooth surfaces.
How important is the concentricity of the hub bore relative to the toothed rim?
If the hub bore is not machined concentrically with the toothed rim, the sprocket will "run out" during operation - the teeth will engage the chain at a varying angle, which accelerates their wear and generates additional vibration. That is why boring out the pilot bore must be done on a lathe, clamping the sprocket by the hub or rim, and not "by eye".
Where is this product used?
Typical applications of the 32B-1 sprocket: drives for pumps, mixers and industrial fans, as well as control systems for industrial gates and roller shutters, where resistance to continuous operation is required.
