Product Description
Sprocket 16A-1 (80-1) z=11 plate wheel fits ASA 80 (16A-1) roller chain, single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 25.4 mm (1"). It is a plate wheel without a hub, has 11 teeth and is made of C45 steel in accordance with ISO 606 and ANSI B29.1.
The plate wheel has a pilot bore of Ø15 mm. It can be bolted or welded to your own hub, flange or drum, which makes it a good choice for larger ratios and non-standard designs.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
ASA 80-1 (16A-1) roller chain with a pitch of 25.4 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit 16B chain?
No. 16B chain (European standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (17.02 mm instead of 15.88 mm). The ASA 80 sprocket is designed for American-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 16A-1 (80-1) z=11 with hub.
How do I check the pitch of a sprocket?
The sprocket pitch matches the chain pitch - it is the distance between the centres of adjacent teeth measured on the pitch circle. The easiest way to check it is to place a section of matching chain on the sprocket: it should sit on the teeth without tension. This sprocket has a pitch of 25.4 mm (1").
How is the pitch diameter of a sprocket calculated?
The pitch diameter Dp is the circle along which the chain rollers travel. It is calculated with the formula: pitch divided by the sine of (180° / number of teeth). For this sprocket it is 90.14 mm, and the outside diameter De is 103.28 mm.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
