Product Description

Sprocket 12B-1 z=31, hardened hub

The sprocket 12B-1 shown is a simplex sprocket with 31 teeth, made with a hardened hub, for chain with a pitch of 3/4" / 19.05 mm. The material is carbon steel C45E (EN 10083-1), and the teeth undergo induction hardening to 45-55 HRC - in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606; the hub retains a lower core hardness, so it can be machined safely.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ozdowski have its own warehouse and fast shipping of parts?

Yes - we know that every minute counts during a production line breakdown, which is why we keep large stocks of sprockets available immediately, allowing lightning-fast shipping and a quick solution to the drive problem.

How do you correctly align sprockets during installation?

The driving and driven sprockets must be in one perfect line. You can use a long steel straightedge placed against the faces of both sprockets or a professional laser alignment tool. Even a slight angular deviation will quickly destroy the chain.

How do I bore the hole in a sprocket to fit a motor shaft?

A sprocket with a pilot bore should be clamped in a lathe (gripping the hub to avoid runout) and bored to the required diameter with an H7 tolerance. If the sprocket has hardened teeth, the hub is usually soft and easy to machine.

What is a technological bore in a sprocket and why is it left?

We manufacture sprockets with hub with a small, so-called pilot (preliminary) bore. We leave it deliberately so that the customer (or workshop) can bore it precisely to the exact shaft size of their machine.

Where is this product used?

12B-1 sprockets operate in the drives of construction machinery, goods lifts, aggregate conveyors and woodworking machines - wherever tooth durability under heavy load matters.

When placing your order, please check the current stock level of this gear - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in the given warehouse.
