Product Description
Sprocket 10B-3 z=45, with hub
The sprocket 10B-3 shown is a triplex (three-strand) sprocket with 45 teeth, made with a hub, for chain with a pitch of 5/8" / 15.88 mm. As a European manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies the sprocket in C45E steel (EN 10083-1), in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 - a version without tooth hardening, cheaper than the hardened variant and sufficient for many typical industrial applications.

Frequently asked questions
Can material documentation (certificate) for the sprocket be included with the order?
Material documentation is not sent automatically with standard catalogue orders, but if it is needed (e.g. for the machine's technical documentation), please notify the sales department when placing the order.
How can you recognise an idler sprocket bearing that is starting to wear before it fails?
The first symptom is usually increased noise and noticeable, excessive play of the sprocket when it is moved by hand with the machine stopped. It is also worth periodically checking the temperature of the bearing housing during operation - an increase compared with other bearings in the system signals progressive wear.
How does one duplex sprocket differ from two independent simplex sprockets on a common shaft?
A duplex sprocket is a single, monolithic toothed rim serving a duplex chain, in which both strands are mechanically integrated in one component. Two independent simplex sprockets on a common shaft serve two completely separate simplex chains - these solutions are not interchangeable without changing the chain type.
Is a sprocket with hub suitable for reversing drives (with a change of rotation direction)?
Yes, the tooth geometry of a sprocket is symmetrical and has no preferred direction of operation, so the sprocket can be used in drives that change direction of rotation. In such systems, correct chain tension on both sides is particularly important, because when reversing, each side alternately becomes the working side.
Where is this product used?
10B-3 sprockets are used in industrial drive transmissions: conveyors, feeders, packaging machines and production lines where precise, repeatable torque transmission matters.
When placing your order, please check the current stock level of this gear - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in the given warehouse.
