Product Description
Sprocket 10B-1 (5/8") z=45 with hub, cast iron is designed for 10B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"). It has 45 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a one-sided hub with a diameter of 80 mm and a pilot bore of Ø19 mm, which is bored to the shaft size and completed with a keyway or a set screw hole. The total width of the sprocket is 40 mm.

Applications
It works in food and packaging industry machinery and in internal transport equipment. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does the 10B-1 z=45 sprocket fit?
10B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 50 chain?
No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
What is the set screw hole in the hub for?
The threaded hole, usually made above the keyway or at 90° to it, takes a headless set screw. It prevents the sprocket from sliding along the shaft when the machine vibrates.
How should sprockets be aligned during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must lie in one plane. Alignment can be checked with a long steel straightedge placed against the sides of both wheels or with a laser alignment tool. Even a small misalignment wears the sides of the teeth and speeds up chain wear.
When does a sprocket need replacing?
It should be replaced when the teeth start to look like pointed shark fins or are clearly bent to one side. Running on such a profile quickly destroys even a new chain, so a worn sprocket must be replaced.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
