Product Description
Sprocket 10B-1 z=25, hardened hub
The sprocket 10B-1 shown is a simplex sprocket with 25 teeth, made with a hardened hub, for chain with a pitch of 5/8" / 15.875 mm. As a European manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies the sprocket in C45E steel (EN 10083-1), in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 - the teeth are induction hardened (45-55 HRC), while the hub remains soft and easy to machine.

Frequently asked questions
When does tooth wear (the "shark fin" profile) mean the sprocket must be replaced?
If the teeth resemble pointed, tilted shark fins, the sprocket must be replaced immediately. Operating on such a profile can damage even a brand-new chain within a dozen or so days.
What is the relationship between the number of teeth of a sprocket and the rotational speed of the drive?
This is the basic principle of the transmission ratio. If there is a small sprocket on the motor (drive) and a large one on the machine, the machine will turn more slowly but gain proportionally greater torque (force).
Why are cast sprockets less precise than turned and milled ones?
Cheap castings have a rough tooth surface, hidden air bubbles and slight deformations. CNC-turned and milled sprockets mean a smooth working surface, perfect alignment and safety for the most expensive machines.
Can a sprocket with a technological bore be installed without additional machining?
No - the technological bore is deliberately too small to fit a typical shaft. It must be bored on a lathe to the required diameter and, if necessary, a keyway cut according to the requirements of the specific machine.
Where is this product used?
This type of sprocket is used in drives of agricultural and industrial machinery, including screw and bucket conveyors, feed conveyors, packaging machines and internal transport systems.
