Product Description
Sprocket 10B-1 (5/8") z=17 plate wheel, C45 steel, hardened teeth fits 10B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"). It has 17 teeth and is made of C45 steel. The teeth are hardened, so they withstand wear from the chain rollers better.
The plate wheel has a pilot bore of Ø12 mm. It can be bolted or welded to your own hub, flange or drum, which makes it a good choice for larger ratios and non-standard designs.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does the 10B-1 z=17 sprocket fit?
10B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 50 chain?
No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
How is the pitch diameter of a sprocket calculated?
The pitch diameter Dp is the circle along which the chain rollers travel. It is calculated with the formula: pitch divided by the sine of (180° / number of teeth). For this sprocket it is 86.39 mm, and the outside diameter De is 93 mm.
When should I choose a plate wheel and when a sprocket with hub?
A plate wheel is chosen when the wheel is fixed to an existing flange, drum or your own hub, or when there is little space on the shaft. A sprocket with hub works better where torque is transmitted directly from the shaft via a key.
How does the number of teeth affect the drive ratio?
The ratio is the number of teeth of the driven wheel divided by the number of teeth of the driving wheel. If this sprocket drives a wheel with twice as many teeth, the driven shaft turns twice as slowly but with roughly twice the torque.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
