Product Description
Sprocket 08B-2 (1/2") z=95 with hub, cast iron is designed for 08B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 12.7 mm (1/2"). It has 95 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a one-sided hub with a diameter of 100 mm and a pilot bore of Ø23 mm, which is bored to the shaft size and completed with a keyway or a set screw hole. The total width of the sprocket is 56 mm.

Applications
It works well in light drives: packaging machines, labelling machines and small conveyors. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does the 08B-2 z=95 sprocket fit?
08B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 12.7 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 40 chain?
No. ASA 40 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (7.94 mm instead of 8.51 mm) and a different inner width (7.94 mm instead of 7.75 mm). The 08B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
How should sprockets be aligned during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must lie in one plane. Alignment can be checked with a long steel straightedge placed against the sides of both wheels or with a laser alignment tool. Even a small misalignment wears the sides of the teeth and speeds up chain wear.
When does a sprocket need replacing?
It should be replaced when the teeth start to look like pointed shark fins or are clearly bent to one side. Running on such a profile quickly destroys even a new chain, so a worn sprocket must be replaced.
Can a new chain be fitted on a worn sprocket?
This should not be done. A worn sprocket has a changed tooth profile, so a new chain runs unevenly and elongates quickly. The rule is: new chain - new sprockets.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
