Product Description
Sprocket 06B-3 z=18, with hub
Sprocket 06B-3 with hub, 18 teeth, triplex (three-strand) - a product matched to chain with a pitch of 9.53 mm (3/8"). Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 from C45E structural steel (EN 10083-1), without tooth hardening - as a Polish manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies an economical version that is fully dimensionally interchangeable with the hardened variant of the same pitch.

Frequently asked questions
How does material quality prevent the teeth from "shearing" during sudden machine jerks?
Soft, uncertified sheet metal deforms under a sudden jerk - the teeth bend over. Steel from a certified melt, correctly heat-treated, has a high yield strength and withstands a torque surge without permanent deformation.
What does the pitch of a sprocket mean and how can it be checked?
The pitch of a sprocket corresponds to the chain pitch - it is the theoretical distance between the centres of adjacent teeth on the pitch circle. The easiest way to check it is to place a section of matching chain on the sprocket - it should sit perfectly, without tension.
How do I select a sprocket with bearing for a tensioning system?
An idler sprocket (with built-in bearing) is selected according to the pitch of the working chain and mounted on the slack side (not on the tight side). It is important that the bearing is protected against dust, especially in agricultural machinery.
How do I bore the hole in a sprocket to fit a motor shaft?
A sprocket with a pilot bore should be clamped in a lathe (gripping the hub to avoid runout) and bored to the required diameter with an H7 tolerance. The hub is usually soft and easy to machine, even in the version with hardened teeth.
Where is this product used?
Typical applications of the 06B-3 sprocket: drives for pumps, mixers and industrial fans, as well as control systems for industrial gates and roller shutters, where resistance to continuous operation is required.
