Product Description
Roller chain 10AH-1 (50H-1) L=4000
10AH-1, known in the ANSI system as number 50H, is a simplex roller chain with a pitch of 15.875 mm, used in drives designed to the American standard. The pin, roller and plate are hardened separately before the link is assembled - this is the approach on which we, as a Polish manufacturer, build the durability of the entire American series. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do you choose the correct ANSI roller chain pitch for a drive?
Three parameters determine the correct selection: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 10AH (ANSI 50H) they are 15.875 mm, 9.4 mm and 10.16 mm respectively. It is also worth considering the load, rotational speed and operating environment (dust, moisture) in order to choose the right version.
How does an AH (reinforced) chain differ from the standard version of the same pitch?
The AH version has the same pitch, inner width and roller diameter dimensions as the standard 10A (it works with the same sprockets), but uses thicker side plates - 2.4 mm compared with 2.0 mm in the standard version. As a result, the chain copes better with jerky loads and operation in more demanding conditions.
Can a section length other than the standard lengths listed be ordered?
Yes. As standard, we offer ready, convenient sections in lengths of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 metres, but the chain can also be ordered by the running metre, or several sections can be joined with a connecting link to obtain the required total length - remembering to keep an even number of links.
Does fitting a connecting link require special tools?
For normal fitting, pliers or flat-nose pliers are sufficient. When working directly on the machine, it is worth using a chain puller that holds both ends of the chain steady while the connecting link is fitted.
Where is this product used?
The reinforced version of this pitch is used in balers (pick-up and bale ejector drives) and in maize harvesters - where a standard 10A chain might not withstand the jerky loads typical of field work.
