Frequently asked questions

Can I use any linear bearing with this shaft?

It fits any linear bearing, plain bushing or carriage with the matching diameter fi=50 mm and tolerance h7 - the bearing manufacturer does not matter.

Does this shaft have a fixed, ready length?

Yes, the length of 500 mm is fixed and final - the product reaches you fully prepared for assembly.

Can I cut this shaft to a different length myself?

We do not recommend cutting it yourself - cutting can damage the hardened surface and affect the straightness of the shaft. The product reaches you as a ready, fixed cut length, prepared for assembly without further machining.

Does this shaft need lubrication or maintenance?

The shaft itself needs no lubrication, but in a damp environment it is worth protecting the surface with anti-corrosion oil - steel Cf53 is not corrosion resistant.

Where are fi=50 linear shafts used?

fi=50 mm linear shafts are most often used in: CNC sliding tables, linear axes of Cartesian robots, 3D printers, plotters, packaging machines, industrial automation feeders, measuring devices, positioning systems and prototype mechanical designs - wherever precise, repeatable linear motion guided on bearings or plain bushings is needed.
