Product Description
Roller chain 16B-3
Roller chain 16B-3 is a triplex chain with a pitch of 25.4 mm, used as a basic drive element in mechanical engineering. Compliance with standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606 guarantees correct interaction with sprockets from other manufacturers; as a Polish manufacturer, we also focus on separate hardening of every link component. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 16B these are 25.4 mm, 17.02 mm and 15.88 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.
What is a triplex chain and when is it used?
A triplex chain is a design consisting of three parallel rows of links connected by common pins. It is used where the space for sprockets is limited (a wider sprocket with a larger pitch cannot be used) and the drive must transmit a higher torque than in the simplex version.
Which connecting link (clip) fits this chain?
The chain should be fitted with a connecting link of the same pitch, preferably from the same manufacturer - manufacturing tolerances differ between manufacturers and affect how the joint performs.
How can you tell that a roller chain needs replacing?
The key sign is chain elongation exceeding approximately 2-3% of its original length. Other symptoms include cracked rollers, visible rust on the pins and uneven running on the sprockets.
Where is this product used?
Applications include drives in industrial automation lines, agricultural machinery, dispensers and conveyors, as well as other production equipment requiring durable and precise power transmission.
