Product Description
Roller chain 12B-3
The 12B-3 chain is a triplex roller chain conforming to the European dimensional standard, with a pitch of 19.05 mm. The chain is manufactured in accordance with the standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606; each pin, roller and plate is individually hardened, which we as a European manufacturer consider key to durability. Ozdowski brand chains offer strength up to 20% higher than the standard requires - each component (pin, roller, plate) is hardened individually before the chain is assembled, which translates into greater durability and resistance to elongation.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 12B these are 19.05 mm, 11.68 mm and 12.07 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.
What is a triplex chain and when is it used?
A triplex chain is a design consisting of three parallel rows of links connected by common pins. It is used where the space for sprockets is limited (a wider sprocket with a larger pitch cannot be used) and the drive must transmit a higher torque than in the simplex version.
How do you calculate the required roller chain length for a machine?
In practice, the easiest way is to count the number of links in the old chain (remembering to include the connecting link). Always buy a chain with an even number of links so that it can be closed with a standard connecting link.
Why does hardening each component (pin, roller, plate) before assembly increase chain service life?
Many low-cost suppliers harden the chain only after assembly, which causes uneven hardening and brittle links. Separate hardening of the pin, roller and plate provides uniform hardness and less wear during operation.
Where is this product used?
The chain is used in production machine drives, transport conveyors, industrial mills and mixers, sorting lines and in maintenance as a replacement part for existing chain drives.
