Roller chain 12B-2 stainless
The stainless roller chain 12B-2 is a duplex chain with a pitch of 19.05 mm, made of corrosion-resistant steel. Manufactured in accordance with the standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606; as a Polish manufacturer, we guarantee dimensional compatibility with sprockets of the same standard, regardless of the material. Ozdowski chains withstand loads approx. 20% higher than the standard minimum - this is the result of individual hardening of each component (pin, roller, plate) before the chain is assembled.

How do I select a stainless 12B chain for a drive or conveyor?
Three parameters are key: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 12B they are 19.05 mm, 11.68 mm and 12.07 mm respectively. In addition, in a corrosive environment it is worth assessing whether standard stainless steel is sufficient or whether the acid-resistant 316L version is needed.
What grade of steel is the stainless chain in this version made of?
The standard stainless version is made of chromium-nickel steel (type 304) containing approx. 18% chromium and 8-10% nickel. It performs well in humid conditions and in the food and pharmaceutical industries, where carbon steel would corrode.
What is the purpose of the duplex design in a roller chain?
A duplex chain consists of two parallel rows of links mounted on common pins. It is chosen when the installation space does not allow a sprocket with a larger pitch and the drive must transmit a higher torque than with the simplex version.
Is the stainless 12B chain also available with a different number of strands?
Yes - we also produce this chain in simplex and triplex versions; the choice of the number of strands depends on the required drive strength and the space available for the sprockets.
