Product Description
Roller chain 12B-1 with WA2 attachment
Chain 12B-1 is a simplex roller chain compliant with the European dimensional standard, with a pitch of 19.05 mm. The chain is manufactured in accordance with the standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606; each pin, roller and plate is individually hardened, which we as a European manufacturer consider key to durability. The chain is equipped with a bent WA-2 type attachment (flight), mounted on selected outer links and used for fixing conveyed or driving elements. Ozdowski brand chains offer strength up to 20% higher than the standard requires - each component (pin, roller, plate) is hardened individually before the chain is assembled, which translates into greater durability and resistance to elongation.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 12B these are 19.05 mm, 11.68 mm and 12.07 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the WA-2 attachment and what is it used for?
The WA-2 attachment is a widened bent attachment with one mounting hole, with a larger mounting surface than A-1. It is mounted on selected links of the 12B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
What loads can OZD roller chains withstand?
Thanks to separate hardening of the components, the chains cope well with sudden load changes - the elastic core of the plates and pins acts as a buffer, absorbing the energy of jerks without damaging the links.
Where is this product used?
The 12B chain with WA-2 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines, where a flight, divider or other working element fixed to the attachment pushes or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
