Product Description
Roller chain 12B-1 with SA1 attachment
Chain 12B-1 is a simplex roller chain compliant with the European dimensional standard, with a pitch of 19.05 mm. The chain is manufactured in accordance with the standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606; each pin, roller and plate is hardened individually, which, as a Polish manufacturer, we consider key to durability. The chain is fitted with an upright SA-1 type attachment, mounted on selected outer links and protruding above the chain plate. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 12B these are 19.05 mm, 11.68 mm and 12.07 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the SA-1 attachment and what is it used for?
The SA-1 attachment is an upright attachment with one mounting hole, fitted perpendicular to the chain plate. It is mounted on selected links of the 12B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
When should automatic tensioners be used, and when fixed chain guides?
Automatic (spring-loaded) tensioners work well in drives with variable loads and high speeds, whereas fixed plastic chain guides are most often used in drives with a stable, repetitive duty cycle.
Where is this product used?
The 12B chain with SA-1 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines, where a flight, divider or other working element fixed to the attachment pushes or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
