Product Description
Roller chain 10B-2 stainless
The stainless roller chain 10B-2 is a duplex chain with a pitch of 15.875 mm, made of corrosion-resistant steel. Manufactured in accordance with the standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606; as a European manufacturer, we guarantee dimensional compatibility with sprockets of the same standard, regardless of the material. Ozdowski brand chains offer strength up to 20% higher than the standard requires - each component (pin, roller, plate) is hardened individually before the chain is assembled, which translates into greater durability and resistance to elongation.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select a stainless 10B chain for a drive or conveyor?
Three parameters are key: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 10B they are 15.875 mm, 9.65 mm and 10.16 mm respectively. In addition, in a corrosive environment it is worth assessing whether standard stainless steel is sufficient or whether the acid-resistant 316L version is needed.
What grade of steel is the stainless chain in this version made of?
The standard stainless version is made of chromium-nickel steel (type 304) containing approx. 18% chromium and 8-10% nickel. It performs well in humid conditions and in the food and pharmaceutical industries, where carbon steel would corrode.
What is the purpose of the duplex design in a roller chain?
A duplex chain consists of two parallel rows of links mounted on common pins. It is chosen when the installation space does not allow a sprocket with a larger pitch and the drive must transmit a higher torque than with the simplex version.
Can a stainless chain be washed with high-pressure water and cleaning agents?
Yes, this is one of the main applications of this material - daily washing with hot water and alkaline or acidic agents is typical in the food industry. However, it is advisable to relubricate the chain after washing, as strong detergents remove the protective lubricant.
Where is this product used?
Used in the food and pharmaceutical industries - on production lines and conveyors washed daily with hot water and cleaning agents, where a carbon steel chain would quickly corrode.
