The 10A-4 chain is a quadruplex American chain proven in maintenance, chain number 50, pitch 15.875 mm. As a European manufacturer, we focus on a precise fit of the pin in the bush, so the chain retains its original dimensions under load for a long time. Ozdowski hardens each chain component individually before final assembly - thanks to this, our chains are more durable and stronger, with a strength reserve reaching approx. 20% above the requirements of the standard.

How do you choose the correct ANSI roller chain pitch for a drive?

Three parameters determine the correct selection: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 10A (ANSI 50) they are 15.875 mm, 9.4 mm and 10.16 mm respectively. It is also worth considering the load, rotational speed and operating environment (dust, moisture) in order to choose the right version.

What is the purpose of a quadruplex design in a roller chain?

A quadruplex chain consists of four parallel rows of links mounted on common pins. This design is chosen when the installation space does not allow a sprocket with a larger pitch and the drive has to transmit a higher torque than the simplex version.

How do you select a connecting link for an existing chain?

The connecting link (clip) must have the same pitch and number of strands as the chain, and should ideally come from the same manufacturer - differences in manufacturing tolerances between manufacturers can affect how the joint performs.

What is behind the high durability of Ozdowski roller chains?

Each pin, roller and plate is hardened separately before the link is assembled - as a result, the hardness is uniform along the entire length of the component and not only on the surface, as is sometimes the case when an already assembled chain is hardened.
