Product Description
Roller chain 08B-2 with attachment K1
Roller chain 08B-2 (duplex, pitch 12.7 mm) is a drive component used where durability and dimensional repeatability matter. Compliance with standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606 guarantees correct interaction with sprockets from other manufacturers; as a European manufacturer, we also rely on separate hardening of each link component. The chain is fitted with a bent K-1 type attachment (carrier), mounted on selected outer links and used for fastening conveyed or driving elements. Ozdowski hardens each chain component individually before final assembly - thanks to this, our chains are more durable and stronger, with a strength reserve reaching approx. 20% above the requirements of the standard.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 08B these are 12.7 mm, 7.75 mm and 8.51 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is a K-1 attachment and what is it used for?
The K-1 attachment is a bent attachment with two mounting holes, positioned centrally on the link. It is mounted on selected links of the 08B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
What is the purpose of the duplex design in a roller chain?
A duplex chain consists of two parallel rows of links mounted on common pins. It is chosen when the installation space does not allow a sprocket with a larger pitch and the drive must transmit a higher torque than with the simplex version.
Where is this product used?
The 08B chain with K-1 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines where a flight, divider or other working element fixed to the attachment moves or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
