Chain 08B-1 is an industrial-grade simplex roller chain with a pitch of 12.7 mm, designed for use in drives of machines and production equipment. As a Polish manufacturer, we ensure a precise fit of the pin in the bush, which limits the development of play and extends chain service life. The chain is fitted with a WSK-2 type attachment (pusher) in an upright design, mounted on selected outer links and projecting above the chain plate. The Ozdowski brand hardens pins, rollers and plates individually, before the links are assembled into a complete chain - as a result, our chains are approx. 20% stronger than the standard requires and therefore more durable and robust when working under load.

The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 08B these are 12.7 mm, 7.75 mm and 8.51 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.

What is the WSK-2 attachment and what is it used for?

The WSK-2 attachment is a widened upright attachment with two mounting holes. It is mounted on selected links of the 08B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.

What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?

The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.

Why is correct chain tension crucial for its service life?

A chain that is too slack starts to vibrate (so-called whipping), causing the rollers to strike the sprocket teeth. Excessive tension, on the other hand, overloads the shaft bearings and accelerates pin wear.

Where is this product used?
