Product Description

Locking bush DB, shaft 90 mm, hub 130 mm is a keyless locking element (locking assembly) connecting a shaft with a diameter of 90 mm to a hub with a bore of 130 mm.

When the screws are tightened, the tapered rings expand and clamp onto the shaft and into the hub at the same time, so the connection transmits torque and axial force without a key and without play. The connection is easy to release and can be set in any position on the shaft. The bush is self-centring, so the hub is aligned concentrically with the shaft without additional guidance. The DB series is designed for high torque.

Frequently asked questions

How do I select a locking bush?

The inside diameter d must match the shaft diameter (90 mm) and the outside diameter D the hub bore (130 mm). The transmissible torque (for this bush 7042 Nm) should be greater than the drive torque multiplied by the service factor: 1-1.2 for uniform load, 1.2-1.5 for intermittent load and 1.5-2 for alternating load (higher for combustion engines).

Do the shaft and hub need a keyway?

No. A locking bush transmits torque by friction only, so the shaft and hub are plain. The surfaces must be clean and degreased, and the shaft and bore machined to the tolerance recommended for this type of connection (usually h8/H8).

What does self-centring mean?

The bush itself aligns the hub concentrically with the shaft, so no additional hub guidance is needed. This is important for wheels that must run without runout.

How do I remove a locking bush?

Loosen the clamping screws. If the bush has removal holes, screw bolts into them to separate the rings. In self-locking bushes the rings do not release by themselves and must be pressed apart.

What does the lead time depend on?

When ordering, please check the current stock level of this product - the delivery time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may differ between warehouses.
