SPZ V-belt pulleys
SPZ V-belt pulleys work with SPZ narrow V-belts and XPZ cogged belts with a top width of 9.7 mm and a height of 8 mm. It is the smallest profile of the SP family - choose it when the drive is to be compact and light, and the power low or medium, e.g. in fans, pumps, compressors and machine tools.
SPZ V-belt pulleys - a compact drive with small diameters
The thin SPZ belt wraps well around small pulleys, so the drive fits where there is no room for a larger profile. When you need more power, you do not have to change the profile - a pulley with more grooves is enough. Standard-compliant grooves accept belts from any manufacturer, and you can choose between pulleys for machining the bore yourself and Taper-Lock pulleys that you fit without turning.
SPZ V-belt pulleys: pilot bore and for Taper-Lock bush
Single and multi-groove SPZ pulleys in subgroups by mounting method: pilot bore and for Taper-Lock bush. The diameter, number of grooves and bush size are given in the name of each pulley, and exact dimensions - on the product page.
Frequently asked questions about SPZ V-belt pulleys
Will an SPZ pulley take a classical Z belt?
Yes, a Z belt runs in the groove of an SPZ pulley, but it transmits less power than an SPZ belt. At the next replacement it is worth switching to an SPZ or XPZ belt.
Which SPZ pulley should I choose for an electric motor shaft?
A Taper-Lock pulley is the most convenient - you choose the bush to suit the shaft diameter, and when replacing the motor you can quickly remove the pulley. Choose a pilot bore pulley when it is to remain on the shaft permanently.
