XH 400 timing pulleys (4" belt)

XH 400 timing pulleys are the widest inch pulleys in our range, designed for XH belts with a pitch of 7/8" (22.225 mm) and a width of 4" (101.6 mm). They are used in the heaviest drives that need the maximum load capacity of the XH belt.

XH 400 timing pulleys - the highest torque without increasing pulley diameters

The widest XH belt transmits the highest torque without increasing pulley diameters, so the drive keeps its existing ratio and dimensions in the plane of the pulleys. C45 steel pulleys withstand high loads and shocks well. This is the solution for drives where width is not a constraint and every extra margin of load capacity counts.

Can an XH 300 belt run on an XH 400 pulley?

It will fit, but the drive will be unnecessarily wide. Pulleys from the XH 300 group are designed for a 3" belt.
