L 050 pilot bore timing pulleys

L 050 pilot bore timing pulleys are pulleys for 1/2" (12.7 mm) wide L belts with a pilot bore. They include very small pulleys that allow a large transmission ratio in a compact drive.

L 050 pilot bore synchronous pulleys - bore for a metric or inch shaft

You bore the hole out for your shaft, so the pulley also fits non-standard and inch diameters. Small pulleys that cannot be made for a taper bush are only available in this version. Smaller pulleys are made of wear-resistant C45 steel, and larger ones of grey cast iron. A pulley without a bush also has a simpler design and lower mass, which you will appreciate in light machines.

L 050 pulleys with a pilot bore, in a wide choice of tooth counts. The bore is machined to the shaft with an H7 tolerance, and the keyway is cut to DIN 6885.

How do I get a 1:3 ratio with L 050 pulleys?

Choose pulleys with tooth counts in a 1:3 ratio, e.g. 12 and 36 teeth. The pulley with fewer teeth is mounted on the driving shaft.
